Who Has Benefited
Please find below a list of those establishments and individuals that have benefited from donations handed out by the Peacock Butterfly Appeal.
On Sunday 6th March 2005 the following surgeries and hospice received cheques at a ceremony held at The Bull in Gosmore. All donations were accepted on the basis that the money would be used for the benefit of cancer patients.

Garden House Hospice, Letchworth - £1000.00
Past beneficiaries include:
Lister Hospital - a cheque for £3,400.00 was presented to Vicky Mitcherson, a Senior Radiologist at Lister hospital. This money is to be used for the purchase of a special chair/bed used in mammography. Mammography is used to aid in the diagnosis of breast diseases in women and is a specific type of imaging that uses a low-dose x-ray system for examination of the breasts.
Regal Chambers Surgery, Bancroft, Hitchin - a cheque for £1,092.00 was presented to Dr Machen and partners for a pump driver to help cancer sufferers at home for the pain.
Lister Hospital - a cheque for £7,700.00 was presented to Ward 7 at the Lister hospital. This money is to be used for the purchase of a bladder scanner required for the detection of testicular and prostate cancer.
Lister Hospital - a cheque for £1,500.00 was presented to the Forster Suite at the Lister hospital. This money is to be used for the purchase of a blood pressure machine required in the chemotherapy department.
Lisa - Lisa is a young lady who has breast cancer which has sadly gone into the bone. A cheque for £177.00 was donated for a light box which helps with the depression that comes with breast cancer.
